The former headed home a Giovinco cross before the little Italian got himself on the scoresheet with an audacious side-volley to ensure that his side left the Dick's Sporting Goods Park with a foot in the next round of the competition.
The second leg has already been dubbed as mission impossible for The Rapids but football’s unpredictability often serves up interesting developments in games of such importance. With a new coach and a relatively new team, a proper understanding and cohesion could go a long way to help the visitors although the odds are hugely against them in this second leg game.
