The Portuguese superstar wants better terms from Los Blancos despite his struggle to score goals this season.

The crisis that Real Madrid is currently in is worrying, but according to Marca, Cristiano Ronaldo has another issue weighing on his mind. The Portuguese ace is reportedly unsettled by his salary at the Bernabeu.

The 32-year-old does not get paid peanuts. Nonetheless, the fact that he is no longer the highest-paid player irritates him, as Lionel Messi and Neymar now earn more than the Euro 2016 winner.

However, Ronaldo believes he deserves a pay raise after winning the FIFA’s The Best Men’s Player award and the Ballon d’Or. Unfortunately for the attacker, Real Madrid disagrees.

This could see the relationship between Cristiano and Los Blancos deteriorate, as the club feels now is not the time to offer the player improved terms. The Spanish champion is in the midst of a crisis, as they sit 19 points behind leader Barcelona.

This leaves Ronaldo’s future at the club under question, especially given his struggle to score goals this season. Real Madrid’s attack as a whole has been disappointing this term, forcing the club to explore options for next summer.

Corriere dello Sport writes that Real Madrid is plotting a move for the Serie A goalscoring machine once the season ends. His release clause will drop to approximately $135m this summer, a fair price for the current inflated market.
