Founded in 1963 as a single-system cable company, it's now a global leader in communication services. It offers both classic and digital coverage; the latter can be used with its Digital Cable with On Demand, which offers a large library of over 8,000 monthly programs, most of which are available at no additional charge. It also offers DVR service. In addition to cable television, Comcast also provides high-speed Internet services.
