The Premier League star is not leaving his current club anytime soon.

Crystal Palace has tied down star forward Wilfred Zaha to a new five-year contract. The 25-year-old forward was reportedly on the radar of both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

However, none of the two clubs was willing to meet the $85 million valuation of the player by his current club. The new deal will see Wilfred Zaha ply his service at Crystal Palace until the end of the 2022/2023 Premier League season should no substantial offer arrive from elsewhere.

The Ivorian, having rejoined the Selhurst Park outfit in 2015 following an unsuccessful spell at Manchester United, has been a key figure at his boyhood club. An inspiring outing in the 2017/2018 Premier League season saw the winger end the campaign with nine goals and three assists amid creating a host of goal-scoring chances for his side.

Speaking to Palace TV after putting pen to paper, Zaha declared: "I'm very pleased. Obviously, I just wanted to get it over and done with, so I can just focus on the season. I'm buzzing that we managed to get it sorted."

The Crystal Palace star man has already hit the ground running in the new season, opening his goal account by getting on the scoresheet in his team's a 2-0 away win over new Premier League entrants Fulham in their first game this season.
