With Klopp’s men out of the Premier League race and unlikely to win the Champions League, other clubs are plotting mega-money moves for the Egyptian ace.
And according to the Times, two are English top-flight rivals. The report claims that Man City and Man United are interested in the 26-year-old. However, the British publication also states the neither of the Manchester duos stand a realistic chance of landing Salah.
The two sides, occupying first and second spot in the league respectively, are aware that the Reds will not entertain the idea of selling their best player to a direct rival. Furthermore, the report claims Liverpool is unwilling to sell the former Roma attacker altogether.
Klopp and Co. are eyeing the league crown next season, having improved their leaky defense. Cashing in on Salah would all but kill the club’s hope of winning their first Premier League crown.
Nonetheless, if he was to leave Anfield, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and PSG will be his likely destination. However, with his contract running until 2022, Liverpool should have no reason to sell.
