Another round in the English Premier League has gone by, and what an exciting one it is. Several derbies took place over the weekend, namely the Merseyside and Manchester Derbies which fans waited for eagerly.
The clash at Anfield ended in a 1-1 draw, but the Old Trafford encounter was won 2-1 by the Citizens. Guardiola’s side now boasts an 11-point lead at the top.
Elsewhere, Tottenhan enjoyed a 5-1 win over Stoke while Arsenal drew 1-1 with Southampton. Chelsea also slipped up, suffering a surprise 1-0 defeat at West Ham. Here are the standout stats from the weekend Premier League action.
Man City: record breakers!
Man City beat Man United 2-1 at Old Trafford to win the Manchester Derby, and possibly the Premier League title – Guardiola’s side now enjoys an 11-point lead.
The victory also saw them set yet another record. It was City’s 14 straight win this season, breaking the record for most consecutive victories in the Premier League in a single season.
Man United’s record is now gone
Man United was unbeatable at home, until they met Man City. For 40 consecutive games Mourinho’s side hadn’t lost at Old Trafford, equaling the club’s longest unbeaten home record. A draw or win on Sunday would have set a new record, but the loss to Guardiola’s side means they must start all over again.
Man United have not conceded more than once in their 40-match unbeaten run at home in all competitions. The last team to score more than once was Man City.

Liverpool equals record despite 1-1 draw
Liverpool must feel disappointed not to win the Merseyside Derby. A Lovren tackle on Rooney gave Everton a penalty which they converted to equalize. Nonetheless, the Reds equaled their longest unbeaten record in the derby (15 games).
