Neymar's dad and legal team left no stone unturned when ellaborating Neymar's contract, as the Brazilian player's deal with PSG also included a clause for winning the coveted Ballon D'Or.
According to Le Parisien, if the Brazilian ace wins the trophy before the end of his contract with the club, he'll earn over €3M .
PSG officers agreed to include such a clause in the contract given the amount of exposure they would get if Neymar wins the trophy.
"Having a Ballon D'Or winner in your team adds value to the club and to the brand itself. You can expect 45,000 fans attending Parc Des Princes during an evening to celebrate Neymar's accomplishment. As a club, it would be an honor to pay such a clause," the report claims.
Neymar has made it to the final list of nominees only once in his career, finishing third in 2015 behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who took the trophy home. In 2016, he finished fifth in the race to win the award. Less than a week ago, Neymar was included in the 30-men shortlist aiming to win the gong.
Neymar's contract with PSG ends in 2022.
