The Welshman could be on his way back to England to make way for the Monaco sensation.

The rumors linking Gareth Bale with a Real Madrid exit are back, as the Welshman is reportedly headed back to the Premier League. The former world’s most expensive player endured an injury-ravaged season which did little to help cement his place at Los Blancos.

The reason behind these claims is an alleged meeting with Kylian Mbappe. L’Equipe report that the 12-time Champions League winners secretly met with the French attacker; with Zidane revealing his plans for the teenager should he move to the Bernabeu.

The Monaco hot-shot is high up on Real Madrid’s wish list. The Spanish champions are even ready to break the transfer record in order to sign the 18-year-old, who has been promised playing team in Real Madrid’s star-studded side.

Zidane is thus ready to let one of his attacking three go to make way for Mbappe, and L’Equipe believe that man is Bale. The French publication writes that Mbappe’s arrival would see Bale move to Man United.

This isn’t the first time the Red Devils have been linked with the Welshman. Prior to joining Les Merengues, the English giants were in the mix to sign him from Tottenham.

Bale, who is under contract at Real Madrid until 2022, would rake in a huge transfer fee for the Spanish champions. That money could fund the Mbappe move, but Los Blancos know they are not the only club after the Monaco starlet.
