Tonight’s Champions League match between Chelsea and Zilina has been analyzed as a one-sided affair in favor of the Blues. But what if football pundits get fooled by the underdogs?

Well, this question may sound laughable to any football fan bearing in mind Zilina’s dreadful record in the Champions League this season. They hold awful records such as the worst defensive side as they’ve conceded 15 goals in only 4 matches. Zilina are also the biggest home and overall losers in the competition following their 7-0 defeat in the hands of Marseille.
So why would anyone think that tonight’s visitors have a chance of upsetting Chelsea? Well, the fact is that the Blues are going through a shocking moment and whereas the Zilina match offers a splendid opportunity for them to bounce back in fashion, it also presents a great danger. Actually, anything less than a victory for Chelsea will let the media all but confirm that that the big boys from London are in a crisis – at least, on the pitch.

Wednesday’s night biggest score line occurred in London as Arsenal whipped Sporting Braga 6-0. In Germany, Bayern Munich left it late while both AC Milan and Real Madrid won in Group G.

Group E: Bayern Munich 2-0 AS Roma; CFR Cluj 2-1 FC Basel
Just as it had been predicted earlier on LiveSoccerTV.com, CFR Cluj beat visitors Basel with the narrowest of margins in Romania. It took two early goals from Rada and Traore for Cluj to get the job done.
Stocker’s 45th minute goal Basel proved to be nothing more than a consolation as the hosts went on to join Bayern Munich at the top of the table.
Hollywood FC played out a good match at the Allianz Arena against AS Roma and it was only in the last 11 minutes of the game that the Germans found the keys to unlock the Giallorossi’s compact defense. Muller and Klose were on target as Bayern Munich rounded up a 2-0 victory over AS Roma on home soil.

Group E: Bayern Munich vs AS Roma; CFR Cluj vs Basel
It’s hard to see last season’s beaten finalists Bayern Munich kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign badly. Aside from the fact that the Germans should benefit from their home advantage, AS Roma’s current form seems to have boosted Bayern Munich’s chances of clinching all three points tonight.
Likewise, the Giallorossi could bounce back from their alarming 5-1 Serie A defeat to Cagliari in style. Adriano, perhaps? Which of AS Roma’s players will be singled out as the ‘dream maker’ should they beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena? Meanwhile, CFR Cluj will entertain FC Basel in Romania with a fair opportunity of winning the match.
How fantastic does it seem for minnows Zilina to reach the group stages of the UEFA Champions League to play giants like Chelsea?

Midfielder Robert Jez talked to UEFA.com this week as he explained how it felt for the Slovakian team to be part of Europe’s biggest club competition. He was quoted as saying:
“To qualify [for the Champions League] means a lot for the club like for the town. This achievement has put us on the football map.
“It’s extraordinary since everyone knows that Zilina is a small club. Progressing into the Champions League is a great success. I’m proud of my team mates. This will go down in the history of the club.
