Another sound victory for Barcelona to prolong their leadership for another week.

Pedro and David Villa secured the game for Barcelona at the Cornella-El-Prat, associating with Lio Messi and Xavi with great success.

Mauricio Pochettino's Espanyol failed to stop Barcelona's furious advance and where overwhelmed from the very first minute by Pep Guardiola's Blaugranas. Barcelona found the opener early in the first half and as the minutes went by, the visitors grew more and more dangerous.

Villarreal, Valencia and Athletic celebrated major victories that let them finish the year in an excellent form.

Unai Emery's Bats defeated Real Sociedad in a decisive clash for the European fight while Villarreal overwhelmed Mallorca, just like Athletic against Levante.

Barcelona conceded their first goal in over a month and a half against Espanyol. Team's figures are truly fearsome: 51 goals scored in 16 Liga matches, only 9 conceded, 43 points are enough to let Barcelona's followers dream with another title this year.

Offensive Strategies for Real Madrid & Barcelona – El Clasico 2010.

Friday November 26 2010,
Tags: La Liga, Spain, Messi, Ronaldo, Mourinho, Guardiola, El Clasico, Real Madrid, Barcelona
There's much more in this derby than Messi and Ronaldo's rivalry.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two most prolific teams in the competition having scored 27 and 22 goals respectively in only 10 games. Both teams rely heavily on their top stars: Cristiano Ronaldo (twelve goals so far) and Lio Messi (eight)  but they wouldn't be able to deal with the attack all by themselves..

Andres Iniesta and Xavi are the backbone of Pep Guardiola's scheme, able to either associate on the attack or send perfect crosses from yards away. Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso play a similar role for Jose Mourinho in the midfield.

Ten world champions meet each other in one of the top football events of the year. We analyze the strategies of both Barcelona and Real Madrid who's the fittest squad for El Clasico by the end of November.

Portugal vs Spain Report

Thursday November 18 2010,
Portugal produced a stunning performance in Lisbon to humble the reigning World Champions Spain.
Even accounting for Portugal’s recent improvement under new coach Paulo Bento, nobody saw this one coming. A magnificent display from the Portuguese from start to finish ended in a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Spain.

There was little brotherly love between the Iberian neighbours in the early stages, as Busquets clattered into Ronaldo, with the Real Madrid star quick to seek retribution with an equally crude challenge. Both players received yellow cards.

Nani and Iniesta went close in the opening exchanges in what looked set for an even contest. The unmarked David Silva should have put the visitors ahead on the half-hour mark when he headed wide from an excellent Capdevila cross.

Proven: Cristiano Ronaldo's Goal Vs Spain Was Legitimate!

Thursday November 18 2010,
Tags: Cristiano Ronaldo, Spain, Portugal, Nani, Friendly
Cristiano Ronaldo's disallowed goal for Portugal against Spain was in fact legitimate and thus should have stood. Pictures speak for themselves and facts can be proven.

Cristiano Ronaldo is angry as referee Antony Gautier disallows his clean goal for "offside". Portugal still defeated Spain 4-0 in the end.Nani doesn't need to apologize to his Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo for last night's "spoiled goal" during the Spain friendly. The cause behind all that is something that keeps occurring in football matches: it was all about wrong officiating, or "human error" one might prefer to say.

Facts don't lie and modern technology, thankfully, can help the eye. Anti-Cristiano Ronaldo fans will be quick to criticize the Portuguese skipper once again. This time, for his “spectacular” tantrum that followed referee Antony Gautier's decision to disallow what would have been a magnificent goal. However, besides all other judgments against or in favor of Cristiano Ronaldo’s angry behavior, the truth remains the same:

Portugal vs Spain Preview

Wednesday November 17 2010,
Tags: Portugal, Spain, Friendly, Cristiano Ronaldo
Throughout the Iberian Peninsula and beyond millions of eyes will be focused on Lisbon on Wednesday night as World Champions Spain play Portugal
With Portugal seeking revenge against the team that ended their aspirations in South Africa and World Champions Spain attempting to extend an impressive record of just three defeats in their last 59 matches, the clash of the Iberian neighbours raises more interest than your average international friendly match.

Although the fixture was ostensibly organised to help promote the joint bid of the two countries to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cup, two sets of fiercely proud and highly successful players should ensure a high level of competitiveness.

Both teams are at practically full strength, and with the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, David Villa, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani on the pitch, it is difficult to imagine anything other than a high-quality encounter.

Portugal vs Spain Friendly: Cristiano Ronaldo And Paulo Bento’s Real Test

Portugal vs Spain will see Cristiano Ronaldo and Coach Paulo Bento put to the test. This international friendly match is meant to reveal a lot concerning Portugal’s current status.

Portugal's Coach Paulo Bento and Captain Cristiano Ronaldo have some points to prove against Spain. The sack of Carlos Queiroz – which was preceded by Portugal’s unimpressive showing at the 2010 FIFA World Cup – put an end to the national team’s frustrating run which begun to build itself after the departure of the retired Luis Figo. In the early moments of this embarrassing period for the former European Championship runners-up, Captain Cristiano Ronaldo was key to Portugal’s acceptable results as ex-boss Luiz Felipe Scolari managed to compensate Figo’s loss through different tactics.

The Selecção weren’t displaying the best football that any fan could dream of, but they did just enough to reach Euro 2008 with Cristiano Ronaldo emerging as the team’s top scorer in the qualifiers. But just as the star winger was expected to power Portugal to more success ahead of the competition in Switzerland and Austria, his fitness suffered a setback.
