Racing Santander vs Valencia Preview

Tags: Racing Santander, Valencia, La Liga
Valencia will lock horns with Racing Santander at El Sardinero in the penultimate game of Matchday 20. Kick-off time for Racing Santander vs Valencia is at 5:00pm GMT and 12:00pm EST on Sunday.
Los Che are yet to record a league win in 2012. After ending 2011 with a comprehensive 2-0 defeat of Malaga, they opened this year with a 2-2 draw away to Villarreal.

This is a game they could have won but a bad start to it saw them conceded 2 goals during the first 20 minutes. It took a late strike from Aduriz to snatch a point for the visitors.

Valencia then hosted Real Sociedad with the task of bouncing back from their draw against the Yellow Submarines. Unfortunately for Los Che, Sociedad’s underdog spirit was too strong to overcome. Despite gathering as much as 61% of ball possession, Valencia lost 1-0 at the end of the day only to lift some pressure off the shoulders of second-placed Barcelona.

Barcelona vs Racing Santander Preview

Friday October 14 2011,
Tags: Barcelona, Racing Santander, La Liga
Barcelona can maintain their top position in the Liga table with a win over Racing Santander on matchday 7.
Barcelona currently share the pole position with surprise package Levante - both having 14 points. The Catalans have the edge on goal difference, due to the fact that they have scored 23 goals and conceded only 4, thus far.

Racing Santander are in a totally different condition, having to fight to get out of the relegation zone. With only 4 points in 6 games, 2 losses and 4 draws, they can only hope to start and preserve what would be a useful winning streak.

Against Barcelona however, a strong line-up is very often a requirement. But all is not looking good for Santander. They will be entering the Camp Nou without the likes of loanee Lautaro Acosta and defender Osmar. The two players are reportedly victims of knee injuries.

Racing Santander vs Real Madrid Report

Wednesday September 21 2011,
Tags: Racing Santander, Real Madrid, La Liga
It’s so early in La Liga, but it seems like Real Madrid will concede the title to whichever team it is for yet another year!
Despite enjoying almost 70 per cent of ball possession, Real Madrid never found the keys to unlock Racing Santander’s gates. Even 5 minutes of added time didn’t help the under pressure visitors.

Jose Mourinho chose to replace yellow carded Lassana Diarra for Kaka with 15 minutes of normal time remaining whereas Ronaldo finished the game. Higuain and Di Maria had also left the bench to join the action on the pitch before Kaka’s introduction.

But the hosts remained safe in what was a rather uninspiring match. What a big blow for the Spanish giants who were already taught a lesson away to Levante! Their 0-0 draw means that Madrid have lost 5 points from 2 matches.

Real Madrid will have the chance to put their La Liga campaign back on track when they’ll play away to Racing Santander on Wednesday.
Jose Mourinho will have 21 men available for this task. Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to start after appearing as a second half substitute in last weekend’s defeat to Levante. Sami Khedira, meanwhile, has been ruled through suspension. Commenting on team news, Jose Mourinho stated at a press conference on Tuesday:

“We will miss three players, which means we'll have to use men who weren't starters in our previous match, but that's not a problem.

“We've always said our 21 players are ready. It can't always be the same ones. They will all get a chance and it's important they make good use of it.”

Cristiano Ronaldo Feared Seriously Injured As Real Madrid’s Battles Aren’t Over

Cristiano Ronaldo’s hamstring injury is being monitored by Real Madrid’s doctors. The star winger picked it up during Madrid’s 7-0 demolition of Malaga.
Right after netting his hat-trick, Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t play the remainder of the match and thus asked to come off – leaving Los Blancos down to 10 men on the pitch as Coach Jose Mourinho had used all his substitutes. Talking to The Canadian Press, the Real Madrid manager expressed his worry at the issue as he stated:

“I don't know. It seems like a serious injury.

“That's the negative note from the game. The worse thing is that Ronaldo doesn't just do small things [for Real Madrid during games].”

Cristiano Ronaldo is indeed the Spanish giants’ most influential player. He is Real Madrid’s top scorer – not only in La Liga, but in both the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League.

Mourinho’s Real Madrid Stronger As La Liga Continues With Racing Santander Match

Real Madrid have started to find their rhythm under Jose Mourinho. Saturday’s Racing Santander match in La Liga might bring yet another moment of joy at the Bernabeu.

Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of his Real Madrid team mates are delighted to work with Jose Mourinho.Cristiano Ronaldo: Harmony Is Back At Real Madrid With Mourinho!

Los Blancos worked hard to achieve 97 points in La Liga last season, and it was rather surprising to see them still fail to land the title as rivals Barcelona earned 2 points more to claim it. In the Champions League, bad luck saw them crash out of the competition in the Round of 16 for the 6th year in a row. Meanwhile, Alcorcon made fun of Florentino Perez’s millionaires by ousting them from the Copa del Rey in the very early stages with a 4-1 aggregate win.

It’s obvious for many to look at Real Madrid’s 2009/2010 season as a fiasco, based on the astronomical sums of money which were splashed during the 2009 transfer window for the signature of superstars such as Kaka and Ronaldo. However, Florentino Perez and confident Real Madrid fans may love to explain that the club was actually investing for the future and not for an immediate miracle since we do know that “a team doesn’t get built overnight”.

FC Barcelona and Racing Santander will meet on Saturday evening in La Liga at the Estadio Camp Nou. Barcelona were stunned by a 2-1 defeat away to Atletico Madrid as a result of an incomplete squad, but this week, they must be in control so as to maintain their lead at the top of the Spanish Primera Liga table.

Barcelona – Recovery and preparation

Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Racing SantanderBarcelona suffered their first league defeat at the Estadio Vicente Calderon last weekend; thus, their 5-point lead at the top ahead of rivals Real Madrid was reduced to only 2 points. A win at home against Racing Santander might not restore or widen the gap between them and Los Blancos, but at least, it will prevent Real from getting any closer to them.

This game will be of high importance for the Barca players – who will be travelling to Stuttgart in mid-week to face the German giants in the UEFA Champions League. The outcome of this league encounter against Santander will definitely have an impact on the Blaugrana next Tuesday, as the Catalans look to avoid any injuries, or suspensions.
