England failed horribly at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Now Manchester City and Three Lions midfielder Gareth Barry hopes that success with the Sky Blues this season will help him forget about the terrible summer he had in South Africa. Manchester City are competing well in the UEFA Europa League and in the English Premier League so far and consistency will certainly see them going places.

Gareth Barry, Manchester City midfielder.Gareth Barry powered Manchester City to a historic 3-0 victory over giants Liverpool on Monday. The 29-year-old displayed a brilliant performance and broke the deadlock for the Sky Blues as the team accomplished their mission of bouncing back from their hard-fought 0-0 draw against Tottenham on match-day one.

Hopes fly higher than ever in the blue sky of Manchester following the club’s heavy spending on the market and following the players’ great reaction against Liverpool. Manchester City also haven’t conceded so far – letting statistics look quite positive at the moment. Coach Roberto Mancini made it clear that the players had to show the perfect attitude of brave warriors if they seriously want to transform City into a successful club. The 3-0 triumph against the Merseyside Reds could be a sign of much better things to come.
