After saying goodbye to the Champions League, SC Braga face a daunting task this weekend. They will host Porto, trying to prove that they are genuine Primeira Liga title candidates.

Sporting Braga's Alan could be on target against FC Porto on Sunday, November 25, 2012.Team News

There is bad news for Sporting Braga’s head coach Jose Peseiro in terms of squad selection. Éder has a knee injury and was unable to practice after the CFR Cluj game. If the Portuguese international is not fit in time to face FC Porto, Peseiro will probably call Zé Luis. However, the latter has made only one start for Braga this season. Curiously, that was against his former club Gil Vicente in a game where he scored his only goal of the current Portuguese Primeira Liga campaign.

As for FC Porto, with Fernando and Alex Sandro back in action last Wednesday, Maicon is the only injured player in the team. The Brazilian centre-back has been replaced by Abdoulaye Ba.

The fierce race between FC Porto and Benfica is not meant to stop anytime soon. Both sides are neck and neck having clinched four wins and two draws each since the start of the season. Sporting Clube de Portugal will return to Alvalade after a sweet 5-0 victory over Vitória Guimarães. They have a match coming up in the Portuguese Primeira Liga against Feirense.
In midweek, Sporting managed to shove Manchester City out of this season’s Europa League competition. They managed a 3-3 aggregate victory in dramatic fashion.
