Fiorentina Welcome Back Adrian Mutu
Adrian Mutu returns to the fold after Fiorentina decide to forgive him.
Fiorentina have pardoned Adrian Mutu, releasing a statement on their official website that says the striker can return to the squad tomorrow.Mutu had petulantly left the training facilities after hearing that his request for a transfer to Cesena was rejected. Fiorentina froze him out of the squad as a consequence. However, after recriminations and reconciliations, Mutu has returned to Fiorentina, where he could form a fruitful partnership with Alberto Gilardino.
Fiorentina's official website released the following statement:
"ACF Fiorentina conveys that Adrian Mutu, as of tomorrow, Friday 4 February, will be reintegrated with the first team and therefore he will be at the disposal of the coach, Sinisa Mihajlovic."
This is not the first time that the 32-year-old Romanian has had trouble with authority. At Chelsea, Mutu was suspended after he failed a drugs test, and he also was at odds with then coach Jose Mourinho.
