The last day of the group stages opens on Monday, January 18th. Both of Group A’s games will be staged at the same time.

In Group A, nothing is settled yet. Angola top the table with 4 points followed by Malawi and Algeria who both have 3 points. 

Mali are the most vulnerable with a single point and a negative goal difference but they still have the mathematical chance of reaching the quarter-finals at the expense of one of Group A’s top three teams at the moment.

Match-day 2 of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola starts on Thursday, January 14th. It will see the four teams in Group A battling it out as qualification into the quarter-finals edges closer.

Africa Cup of Nations – Day 1 Preview

After the opening match of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations between the tournament’s hosts Angola, three matches will follow on Monday, January 11th.
