After suffering a 2-0 defeat to the USA whereas Haiti conquered Grenada 2-0 on that same day, Honduras have some work to do if they want to ensure themselves a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Grenada are definitely out of the Gold Cup. A 4-0 loss to the USA followed by a 2-0 defeat against Haiti in the second round meant that the challenge was over for the Spice Boys.
Therefore, they’ll have nothing to play for but pride when they clash against Honduras. Grenada were predictable losers in the Gold Cup but ironically, they could have a lot of impact on the fortunes of favorites Honduras.

It is always disappointing to open a game with an early goal and then go on to loose in the end… This is what happened when Los Catrachos travelled to the United States of America on July 6.
Carlos Costly scored after only five minutes to give the visitors a boost. But this didn’t kill the Yankees’ hopes of winning the encounter.
Landon Donovan scored from the spot with two minutes before half time to give the USA a desire equalizer. In the second half, another Carlos – but Bocanegra, not Costly – headed the ball home in a particular manner to seal the victory for the USA.
As campaigns for qualification to the world cup are on hold, the Americans sit one place above Honduras in CONCACAF’s group table.
