Italian Serie A clubs Lazio and Genoa are on the verge of completing a co-ownership deal to land Uruguayan international Emiliano Alfaro, who currently plys his trade at Liverpool of Montevideo.Alfaro, 23, is one of the most sought after strikers from the tiny South American nation, scoring seven goals in the Uruguayan Apertura championship to finish as the competition's second highest marksman.
Due to his impressive form he has attracted the attention of Uruguay's two biggest clubs, Nacional and Penarol, however, recent interest from abroad means he has greater chances of moving to Italy instead, even if it may be through a tricky co-ownership deal.
