Juventus have offloaded striker Marco Amauri, bringing in Alessandro Matri from Cagliari.

Juventus have gone some way in solving their striker crisis by bringing in Alessandro Matri from Cagliari. The 26-year-old Italian arrives on a loan deal that requires Juventus to pay Cagliari 2.5 million euros immediately and 15.5 million euros over three years.
The Bianconeri have been struggling in Serie A lately with injuries to Fabio Quagliarella and Vincenzo Iaquinta being a major reason.
As a result, Alessandro Del Piero has had to partner an ineffectual Marco Amauri up front.
Due to Amauri's inability to score goals, Juventus have loaned the striker to Parma. From Juventus's perspective, it has been a satisfying transaction, even if the price paid for Matri seems a bit high.
Juventus are hoping to lure Fiorentina’s Alberto Gilardino at all cost during the January transfer window. The Turin-based side are willing to offer striker Amauri with €10M to the Viola according to transfer news from Italy.

Ilsussidiario.net claims that Juventus are looking to meet with Fiorentina’s chiefs for the signature of Alberto Gilardino. The Italian forward is believed to be the top man on Juve’s transfer wish list since the player is reportedly keen on leaving the Florence outfit to become a Bianconeri.
Gilardino currently earns €2.3M a year whereas he is set to gain €3M should he join Juventus. The problem in this transfer deal is that the Old Lady’s injured Amauri – who is expected to return to action next month – doesn’t seem ready to quit the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.
