The French are poised to edge past Albania to remain in the lead in the table. After opening their UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign with a shocking home defeat to Belarus, Les Bleus bounced back with 2 wins in Paris. Laurent Blanc’s men are expected to record their third consecutive victory on home soil against Albania.
Argentina are under a bit of pressure ahead of tonight’s warm-up game at home to Albania. The 2011 Copa America hosts have lost their last two friendly matches and time’s running out for boss Sergio Batista to multiply the confidence in the hearts of the Albicelestes’ supporters who aim to see the Copa America trophy remain in Argentina.
A point clinched away to Romania was satisfactory for Albania to head into their Euro 2012 qualifying match against Luxembourg with some confidence. Albania’s opponents lost 3-0 against Bosnia and Herzegovina last week and are thus at the bottom of Group D, whereas Albania are set to keep fighting at the top of the table.
