Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has stated that fellow English Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea are now the two favorite sides for title. The Chilean boss said that the top two placed teams have a better chance due to his side's position but the former Malaga manager was still adamant that he will fight until the last game.

Pellegrini made these comments after he saw his Manchester side fall to a shock 2-2 draw at the hands of bottom-placed Sunderland at the Etihad stadium. The game needed a Mannone error to see Samir Nasri score late on in the game, to salvage the home side a point.

And after the Liverpool loss on Sunday, Pellegrini believes it is Rodgers and Mourinho's sides who are in the pilot seat.

When speaking in a post-match press conference, Pellegerini said: “maybe at this moment Liverpool and Chelsea have the better chance because of our position but we will keep fighting until the last day of the season.”

“My duty is to talk with the players and try to win the last five games. Before this match I was very worried. To play against a relegated team at the end of the season is always very difficult because they fight for every ball.”

This latest result sees the Citizens drop six points behind Liverpool, with a game in hand.
