Bundesliga and defending Champions League title holders Bayern Munich were drawn against Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, in a draw held on Friday. The Bavarian side had seen off Manchester United in the quarter-finals, and now face an even sterner challenge of taking on the nine-time Champions League winners, in the last four.

This match-up, a replay of the 2012 semis between the two respective sides, has gotten Die Roten manager Pep Guardiola anxious and wary of his opponent's firepower, but still excited over the opportunity to face the Madrid outfit. When speaking in a press conference, the Spanish manager said:  "the draw is the draw. But Real Madrid are a tough draw. I know their team well.”
