Manchester United manager David Moyes may have had a very poor season by the Red Devils’ standards but the Scot pulled off a major coup by drawing 1-1 with German treble-winning giants Bayern Munich during first leg of their 2013/14 UEFA Champions League quarter final tie at Old Trafford.

Beaming with confidence ahead of their Allianz Arena rematch, Moyes talked up the fact that English sides had a good record against the Bavarians whilst playing in Germany and that it would favor his side going into the tie.

“I think it would be something which is more in Bayern’s mind, that the English teams have come here and got a good record," Moyes said.

“They will have that doubt in their mind. They’re European champions but they will have the games they have played against English teams in mind. We will try to use it to our advantage."

“We have to go into this game as a cup final for us. We want to be in the Champions League final, but first we have to win this final which is a second leg tie against Munich.”
