David Moyes was a happy man after his team’s thorough performance in beating Newcastle United 4-0 away at St. James Park on 5th April 2013.

Even after a string of disappointing performances, the team had managed to draw 1-1 with German giants Bayern Munich at OT and then followed it up with an epic Newcastle win during which club record signing Juan Mata led the way with a brace and an assist and second option striker Javier Hernandez had a great game in the absence of official front men Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

Praising his team  in the aftermath of the win, the manager also expressed hope that Rooney would recover in time for the Bayern rematch.
