It certainly was not the result Chelsea would have liked.

With the Premier League title race the closest many have seen in a while, the top three sides are all attempting to win their remaining fixtures in an effort to create some distance between them.

Despite Jose Mourinho's constant downplaying their efforts, the Blues were leading the charge towards the title in May...until their surprise loss to Crystal Palace.

An embarrassing own goal from veteran defender John Terry gifted the hosts all three points and as a result, Chelsea saw their lead ahead of Liverpool cut to just one point, and three from Manchester City, which means that the Reds can overtake them should they win tomorrow.

And with each passing minute, the frustration among the players and coach was clearly evident for all to see.

Mourinho was seen remonstrating with a young ball boy for wasting time and not getting the ball back in play quickly enough, assuming the lad was trying to run down the clock to help his side earn all three points.

However, the father of two was quick to explain his actions involving the child and rather wanted to "educate" him before a player acted out in frustration.

"I simply told him 'you [keep on doing] this, one day, somebody [will] punch you'", he stated following his side's loss.

It is not the first time a member of Chelsea's squad has been involved in a fracas with a ball boy--Eden Hazard was widely criticized for kicking one at Swansea last season, despite the teenager's insolent actions.

Chelsea's fans will be hoping that their side will put this loss behind them as they take on PSG in the Champions League on April 2nd.
