Sami Khedira knew only one team before heading for Real Madrid: VfB Stuttgart. He was a tough holding midfielder for them and then, continued to play that role for the German national side and Real Madrid. A long term injury has put him in doubt for the World Cup. Thus, when a jersey with the Khedira name appeared in midfield as Bayern took on Stuttgart earlier in the year, some heads turned.
