Preview: Neymar out to continue his fine form
The Brazilian international was Barcelona's big name signing this summer, and he took some time to get accustomed to European Football. With Messi alongside him, many expected Neymar to flourish, but it has been without the Argentine on the pitch that he has really started to show his talent.
After Messi went down with an injury, Barcelona struggled, having lost against Ajax in Amsterdam and lost against Athletic Bilbao.
Since then, Tata Martino's squad has bounced back nicely. They defeated Celtic 6-1 at the Nou Camp, and also defeated Villarreal 2-1 this past weekend.
From those two matches, Neymar netted 5 of their eight goals. A hat-trick against Celtic got things started, and he scored both goals at the weekend to claim three more points for the Blaugrana.
On Tuesday night, the hosts will likely feature an alternate lot of players, but Neymar is likely to feature given his one match suspension that he will serve in Barcelona's next La Liga match.
The visitors have not had it easy since going down 1-4 to Barcelona. They have drawn two consecutive matches, with their latest coming against mid-table Algeciras, who were down to nine men. Fortunately for them, they do not have any injury concerns heading into this match, unlike Barcelona.
Tata Martino will be without Messi, Valdes, Affelay and Jonathan dos Santos due to injury. Barcelona's manager has also opted to rest Xavi, Pique and Busquets for this fixture.
