After clinching the top spot in Serie A, Juventus will now welcome Danish side Copenhagen to the Juventus Stadium in a Champions League clash.

Juventus must beat Copenhagen to maintain their Champions League hopes alive on November 27, 2013.Preview: Old Lady looking to replicate league form in Europe

It has been a tale of two competitions for Juventus so far, having done so well in the league outings the league leaders are rock bottom in Group B of the Champions League. The defending Italian champions are surprisingly winless in Europe this season, with their four matches resulting in three draws and a loss.

Their antics have now put them in a do or die situation. A win can put the Italian giants back in the fray for a possible qualification to the next round, but a loss will rule them out for a place in the last 16.

However Juventus’ recent run in the league should be a source of inspiration for the players to perform better in Europe. Antonio Conte’s men have taken advantage of Roma’s dip in form having leapfrogged Rudi Garcia’s side for the top spot in the league.

After struggling to make an impact initially, Spanish international Fernando Llorente has now found his feet in Italy. The 28 year old scored his third goal in many games in the weekend fixture against Livorno and has hailed his partnership with strike partner Carlos Tevez who also notched up a goal during Juventus’ 2-0 win over the weekend.

"Each time we play together, things get even better," he said. "We're getting to know each other better game-by-game and we're both improving physically too. We did what we had to do and now we need to carry on like this, starting with Copenhagen."

The former Athletic Bilbao man played second fiddle to Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella during the beginning of the season and his inability to break into the first time had led to rumours of him seeking a new club in January.

However important goals against Real Madrid, Napoli and Livorno have ensured the Spaniard a regular run in the starting eleven.

Even though Juve have not managed a victory in any of their last three home games in the Champions League, they are on a 12 match unbeaten run on home turf in all competitions and will have to maintain the streak in order to ensure a qualification to the next round.

Copenhagen on the other hand have every reason to be confident ahead of their trip to Turin. The Danish champions fought valiantly to hold Juventus to a draw in the reverse fixture and in their last outing against Galatasaray, Ståle Solbakken’s side scored a 1-0 victory to keep their hopes of a place in the last 16 alive.

The Lions are currently on a six match unbeaten run in all competitions and put up a dominant performance in their last league outing, beating Viborg 4-1. Forward Igor Vetokele scored twice, taking his goal tally to seven for the season.
