Manchester United are out to restore their pride with a home game against West Bromwich Albion.Preview: Moyes looking for a strong response after derby day humiliation

Moyes and his team will take motivation from their 1-0 victory over a strong Liverpool side in the Capital one Cup during midweek. A solitary goal from Javier Hernandez settled the tie for the Red Devils who really needed a victory following a heavy defeat at the hands of their title rivals last week at the Etihad Stadium.

Man United under their new manager David Moyes have had a dismal start to the Premier League campaign managing just two victories out of the five matches they have played so far in the league. As a result the Red Devils find themselves eighth in the table one position below Swansea City and their Scot manager is looking to make amends when his side meets West Brom.

"It's not frustrating," Moyes said according to Goal.com.

"I will sort it. I will fix it. I will turn it around. I have no doubt about that."

"(Wednesday) was a big game for us. We had lost at Anfield a few weeks ago (1-0 in the Premier League) and at the Etihad on Sunday, and we wanted to put that right."

In reassuring news for Manchester United, last season’s top scorer Robin Van Persie has been declared fit by manager David Moyes, but young midfielder Tom Cleverly will miss out on the tie.

"Robin will be back, involved somewhere. He trained today and is fit. But we'll have to see exactly where he is," he told reporters.

"Tom [Cleverley] has done a bit of training today. He rocked his knee in training and hopefully he won't be too far away."

After finishing eighth last season, West Brom have begun the new season on a disappointing run having managed just a single victory in the five matches they have played this season.
Steve Clarke’s men were also dumped out of the Capital one Cup, as Arsene Wengers young chargers showed resilience, winning the match on penalties.

Last week’s win over struggling Sunderland was their first victory of the season, when goals from Stephane Sessegnon, Liam Ridgewell and Morgan Amalfitano ensured a 3-0 victory over the Black Cats.
Striker Matej Vydra and Chris Brunt could return for the trip to Old Trafford, but goalkeeper Ben Foster and midfielder and Zoltan Gera are likely to be out for a lengthy period. The Baggies have won just five of the 23 Premier League games they have played in 2013 and can hardly fancy their chances against a United side hungry to earn it’s place back at the top of the Premier League table.

Man United have won 15 of the last 18 meetings between the two clubs, without losing a single match.
West Brom’s last victory over the Red Devils came back in March 1984 when goals from Cyrille Regis and Steve MacKenzie earned them a 2-0 victory.

The last time the two sides met it ended in a goal fest, with the match ending in a 5-5 draw as legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson took charge of his last match as Manchester United manager.
