TORONTO (April 29, 2010) – Burnley travel to St. Andrew’s to face Birmingham City Saturday, May 1 at 7:45 a.m. ET/ 4:45 a.m. PT to kick of the second to last weekend of the 2009-10 Barclays Premier League season live on Setanta Sports.

Following this match, later on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. ET/ 6:45 a.m. PT, is a match-up with possible implications for the 2010-11 UEFA Champions League season as Manchester City host Aston Villa.

The most important Premier League match of the weekend features Liverpool defending their home pitch against table-leading Chelsea Sunday, May 2 at 8:30 a.m. ET/ 5:30 a.m. PT.

A Premier League double header is on tap Monday, May 3:

Wigan Athletic v Hull City              @ 8:30 a.m. ET/ 5:30 a.m. PT
Blackburn v Arsenal                     @ 12 p.m. ET/ 9 a.m. PT

With their final match of the season at home to a much weaker Wigan side, Chelsea’s match versus Liverpool will likely decide if they are to dethrone three-time defending Premier League champion Manchester United. Chelsea hold a slim one-point lead over United. The Red Devils play a road game at Sunderland this weekend and close out the season next weekend at Old Trafford versus Stoke City.

The other match this weekend on Setanta that could have implications for next season features Manchester United at home to Aston Villa. The two clubs are locked in a four-way battle with Tottenham and Liverpool for the final Premier League spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Tottenham and Aston Villa are level on points in fourth spot but Spurs have three games remaining. City, sitting just a point back, also hold a game in hand on the Villains. The Reds sit a further point back and also have just two matches remaining.
