Adapting to Spanish football will not be easy for Gareth Bale who’s momentous transfer fee will be a source of constant pressure for the 24 year old. The former Spurs man will need Cristiano Ronaldo’s support in order to succeed at his new club.
Gareth Bale completed his dream move after a saga which culminated a majority of the transfer window. After completing a world record move to Real Madrid, the former Tottenham Hotspur man knows that he needs to perform and that too in a short span of time. Despite being new to the country and the league, people are already expecting Bale to perform from the word go, something that puts extra pressure on the player.

Carlo Ancelotti’s skills as a coach and a diplomat will be put to the test as he tries to integrate the world’s most expensive player with Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite not signing a new contract, Ronaldo remains that biggest player at the Santiago Bernabeu which means that Bale might have to get used to being overshadowed.

Though he prefers a 4-4-2 formation, Ancelotti might go for a 4-2-3-1 formation in order to accommodate both men down the wide positions.
A lot has been said about the prospect of seeing Ronaldo and Bale playing together. Contrary to what has been written by the tabloids, Ronaldo is apparently happy at the prospect of being able to play with Bale who he greeted warmly for his first training session at the Valdebebas.

For obvious reasons and historical context, Bale’s every performance will be thoroughly dissected and analysed. At his age, the player has not reached his peak yet so he desperately needs a player of Ronaldo’s stature to help him out at this phase.

Many people have spoken about the Portugal international as being an arrogant player. However, the former Manchester United man has matured quite a lot during his time in Spain and if he is willing to sacrifice his ego for the good of the team, he can form an explosive partnership with the Welshman, a pairing that will lit alight Spain and Europe.

Regardless of what they are going through, all players part of the Real Madrid dressing room find Barcelona’s domination hard to swallow. For that reason, it is even more important for the top two transfer record holders to form a partnership. The current Barcelona side has shown that managerial changes will not affect them. Under Gerardo Martino, Lionel Messi has kept flourishing while Neymar is going to explode sooner rather than later.

Ancelotti’s start as the manager of perhaps the toughest club to manage in the world has not exactly been a joyride and the former Paris Saint-Germain manager’s problems will compound if he fails to get anything out of what could be one of the most devastating partnerships in world football.

Moreover, Madrid’s obsession with La Decima is at its peak and many people feel that the primary purpose of Bale’s transfer was to help the club finally end its barren run of European success.

The Bale-Ronaldo partnership in theory is a mouth-watering prospect in so many ways. Both men are terrific athletes with a penchant for scoring extraordinary goals. If stats are taken into account, both men should be able to complement each other which bodes well for the club in the long run.
