Antonio Conte’s men take on the Roman giants looking for a repeat of the Supercoppa triumph at the start of the season, watch the match live on Fox Sports.

Juventus vs Lazio comes on in the Italian Serie A this Saturday, August 31, 2013.Preview: Conte looking to make it two out of two against Lazio

The last time these two sides met was in the Supercoppa one-off encounter which Juventus won 4-0.. Goals from Paul Pogba, Giorgio Chiellini, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Carlos Tevez handed Juve their first trophy of the season and now, the team would be looking to do the same when they host them at the Juventus Stadium.

However, Chielini has warned his teammates that the result from the traditional curtain raiser in no way gives La Vecchia Signora any sort of advantage for the upcoming Serie A clash.

While talking to reporters, the Italy international stated that there is not a gap between these two sides.

"Honestly I don’t think the gap between the two sides is as big as that scoreline might have made it seem," the defender told Sky Sport Italia.

"We were good at striking for the jugular and making the most of our opportunities, but Lazio are a great side... they will be out to show people what they’re made of and get revenge against us on Saturday."

Argentine international, Carlos Tevez has settled in well with life in Italy since making the switch from Manchester City earlier this summer. And after scoring a crucial winner for his new side in their opening game of the season against Sampdoria, the striker will be looking to add to his tally against Vladimir Petkovic’s men.

Shaking off the disappointing 4-0 defeat at the hands of the reigning champions, Lazio will arrive in Turin in high spirits following a 2-1 win over Udinese in their first game of the new season. Influential playmaker Hernanes and Antonio Candreva were on the scoresheet for the capital club who held the Old Lady to a goalless draw in the same fixture last year.

Macedonian midfielder, Lorik Cana limped off during the game against Udinese but the club doctor, Stefano Lovati has said that there is nothing to fear and that the former Sunderland man will be available for the weekend.

Lovati told Lazio Style Radio: "We feared something serious but tests have confirmed that there is no serious lesion.

"He is at about 80 per cent so could be available for the weekend."

Pogba will be Juventus’ man to watch out for on Saturday. After a great second half to the 2012/2013 campaign and promising showings during preseason, the young Frenchman has shown that he has the potential to become one of the best in the business. Sure he was not ready during his Manchester United days, but the exciting midfielder is oozing with confidence at the moment and will be a key to his side’s chances in Italy and in Europe this season.
