A total of 10 teams have joined 22 automatic UEFA Champions League ticket holders. Some of the playoff ties produced exceptional results during the past eight days. Defeating nerves and silencing their critics, Arsenal recorded one of the biggest aggregate wins by beating Turkish giants Fenerbahçe 5-0.
A huge upset was recorded in France and in Spain as Real Sociedad – inspired by former Gunner, Carlos Vela – beat Olympique Lyon 2-0 in each leg. Another stunning result was Celtic’s unbelievable 3-0 win on home soil to overturn a 2-0 loss away to Shakhter Karagandy of Kazakhstan. Like Celtic, Italian powerhouse Milan also avoided agony with a spirited 3-0 win at the San Siro after playing a 1-1 draw away to PSV.
