Manchester United go social by launching offical pages on Google Plus, Instagram and Renren.Manchester United supporters worldwide have been left anxious this summer as the club continues to stumble on the transfer market. David Moyes has been trying to sign Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas and keep Chelsea away from unhappy Wayne Rooney.

Previously, the Red Devils were reportedly targeting Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale but it appears the Welsh man will not land at Old Trafford anytime soon.

Likewise, the highly-anticipated return of Cristiano Ronaldo to the club has taken a huge setback. According to transfer speculations in Spain, the Portuguese winger is close to renewing a deal at Real Madrid.

However, if Manchester United are yet to nail big signings this summer, they are at least signing new fans online. On Thursday, the reigning English Premier League champions announced their official presence on Google+, Instagram and Renren.

Google Plus has over half a billion members across the globe. Man United are eying an instant growth of their supporters army on this platform. Exclusive interviews and much more will be available on team’s official page.

On Instagram, followers will be provided with iconic images and exclusive videos. In addition, Manchester United can now be found on Chinese-based social network, Renren. The English giants currently count no less than 108 million fans in China.

Last month, Manchester United finally joined Twitter as well as Sina Weibo. All this adds to Facebook where the club has gathered over 34 million page likes since 2010.
