Klinsmann is not having the best of times as manager of USA’s national soccer team. However, intentions of throwing the towel are out of question. In the aftermath of Wednesday night’s 4-2 loss to emerging European side Belgium, the German man preferred to look at positives, stating:

“When you lose, it’s not such a great pleasure but I’d rather play Belgium 10 more times than play El Salvador 100 times. That’s where you learn.”

He added:

“We have to go back to the drawing board. We need to work on getting better as a team and use these games today and Sunday as a building block to the World Cup qualifiers.”

What will the Americans learn from their upcoming international friendly match at home to Germany? Joachim Lowe’s men are in devastating form. The Germans have welcomed many new faces and grown considerably since Jurgen Klinsmann left the managerial post after the 2006 World Cup.

While it seems the DFB Eleven has reached a level where even an unfamiliar starting XI can cruise to victory like it happened against Ecuador this week, time is running out for the Americans. The USMNT is hoping to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and enjoy a remarkable campaign in Brazil.
