With just one game left to play for in the current Italian Serie A campaign, AC Milan should not slip up against already-relegated Siena in a bid to seal a top three place.
After a 0-0 draw with AS Roma, a game that made highlights for all the wrong reasons, Milan know that they have to turn deaf on whatever that happens outside the white lines when they take on Siena at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

As things stand, AC Milan are in third and the final place of Champions League qualification and just two points ahead of Fiorentina who play already relegated side US Pescara. A win against Giuseppe Lachini’s for Milan side will mean Champions League football for next season and any sort of slip-up could see the Milanese club play in the Europa League next season.

In the reverse fixture played earlier this year, Milan defeated Siena 2-1 courtesy of goals from Bojan and Pazzini, Milan will be aiming for another victory in order to ensure that they can get something out of what has been a disappointing season. The 2012/2013 campaign has been one of transformation for the club and with the way this relatively young Milan side has played during the second half of the campaign, gives hopes of better days to come.

A 0-0 draw against Roma meant that Milan have guaranteed their fans a nerve racking finale to the season and if a similar performance is on the show in Tuscany, Milan could well end up without Champions League football which would surely be a big blow for a club of such stature.
However, it is not all doom and gloom for the San Siro giants. If past instances are to be taken into consideration, Allegri will already have regrouped his young charges. Moreover, Milan certainly do have enough quality to defeat the 19th placed team in the Serie A table.

"It's a shame that we only got a point, as we have to stretch this season out to the very end, but we are aware that we can go to win at Siena. Don't forget Fiorentina have to win too, so we’ve both got a battle on our hands," he told the media after the stalemate with Roma.

Though they will be playing Serie B football from next season, Siena should not be taken lightly as they would want to leave Serie A on a high before disappearing in the lower echelon of Italian football.
One of the most worrying factors of Milan’s offensive nuance has been the goal drought of Stephen El Shaarawy.

The young Italian international has not been scoring as freely as he did in the first half of the campaign. That is something Allegri accepts. While talking about the striker’s issues, the Italian admitted that most of the opposition have the youngster ‘worked out’ so an evolution of his style of play is vital. If El Shaarawy is able to improve on his recent performances, Milan do have a great chance of calming the nerves of their supporters.

In short, the Italian Serie A season is set to go down the wire in terms of Champions League qualification and although the Florence-based club has lesser chance of qualifying for the competition than them, Milan know that they should not take anything for granted when they take on a side that has not been able to beat them in the last 10 Serie A encounters.
