With Malaga set to play Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal, all eyes will be on Isco and Mario Goetze, two of the brightest stars in Europe at the moment
Two of the most highly-rated youngsters in European football, Isco and Mario Goetze will be looking to showcase their abundant talents when Malaga and Borussia Dortmund meet in tonight’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg in Andalusia.

The game is bound to be one of the most exciting games of the last eight stages and with the way these two sides have gone about their business in Europe so far, there is no telling which way this tie would go.

Furthermore, with the talent both sides have in their ranks, the game will be full of twists and turns and will even keep neutrals glued to their TV screens.

The game will also allow us to evaluate more closely two of footballs budding stars Isco and Goetze, who despite their tender ages, have already achieved quite a lot in their careers and have been duly tipped for a bright future ahead of them.

Legendary Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi once said; “The only way you can build a side is by getting players who speak the same language and can play a team game. You can’t achieve anything on your own, and if you do, it doesn’t last long. I often quote what Michelangelo said: ‘The spirit guides the hand.’”

Although Sacchi was not speaking about these two when he made this statement, it is true that both these players are also very lucky to have some of the most talented crop of players around them.

With Marco Reus, Goetze has formed a formidable pairing that can wreak havoc on any team on any given day. The same can be said of Isco who is equally lucky to have players such as Joaquin and Francisco Portillo to play with.

However, there is also no denying the fact that these two players have been blessed with talent that not many people are born with. Both players have amazing close ball control, great burst of pace and an eye for goal that could make any star player in world football extremely proud of.

Given the maturity of his performances, it is very easy to forget or even mention the fact that Isco is still only 20. Valencia should rue the day when they sold the immensely gifted playmaker to Malaga. Under the tutelage of Manuel Pelligrini, the youngster has flourished.

Given a tough task to play as a number 10, this young Spaniard has not disappointed at all. Excellent at breezing past the first man and creating opportunities in a flick of a seconds, Isco has also developed a laudable ability to help out his team in defence which makes him the key player for the Andalusians tonight.

When Mario Goetze is on song along with Marco Reus, the young German duo’s game-play gives at eerie reminiscence of the likes of Iniesta and Xavi. Considering the fact that the young duo is playing in the Bundesliga for the first time together, shows just how good they can be in future.

With great vision, equally great dribbling skills and maturity beyond years, Goetze will be the chief instigator of all the good offensive things that Dortmund will do tonight. Furthermore, the fact that Goetze is always willing to help out Sven Bender deep in the midfield, means that the young midfielder might also be looking to cut open Malaga with a defence-splitting pass or two.

Both these young stars have unparalleled talent and are bound to develop into world class players. Both these men have made immense contributions to bring their clubs to where they currently stand, and it would be interesting to see what roles they play in guaranteeing a semi final berth for their respective teams.
