As has been the story for quite some time now, Arsene Wenger is at the center of more frustration from Arsenal fans.

Arsenal's manager has decided that he will go ahead and rotate some of his starters, in order to give them a rest for their upcoming match against Swansea City. Therefore, many, if not all, believe that Wenger is throwing in the towel, ahead of Arsenal's match Wednesday night against Bayern Munich.

After the first leg, where Arsenal was defeated at home 1-3, it was more than evident that regardless of what Arsenal fans believed, or wanted to believe, Bayern Munich is on a different level than the North London side. Now that does not mean that Arsenal is unable to compete, but as a collective group, Bayern Munich are well ahead of Wenger's side.

From the lack of consistency, to the limited world class options coming off the bench, Arsene Wenger does not have the same fire power that Bayern Munich does, making Wednesday's match very difficult to turn around.

While it is obvious that the Arsenal faithful would love to see their best squad out there, Gunners fans need to think more with their head and less with their heart in this situation. But, either way, there will be critics regardless.

If Arsene Wenger was to field his best squad on Wednesday night and Arsenal lost, and had a few injuries what would that mean for Arsenal Football Club? Well, considering a top four finish is very much a top priority, now the Gunners would have to go into the final matches of the season with their confidence battered, and their players injured. That would make for very difficult final weeks in the campaign for Arsene Wenger and everyone else at Arsenal.

Well, what if Arsenal did play with their best squad, and some how, some way, managed to turn things around and knockout the German side? We must be honest with ourselves, while it sounds very amazing and would make some impressive headlines, beating Bayern Munich at home by a three goal margin is not impossible, but extremely difficult.

So with that scenario, Arsenal fans would say well we knocked out Bayern, and now we are full of confidence for the rest of the season. Well it does not really work that way. Yes you may have knocked out Bayern, but with that comes two more European matches, causing more fatigue for players and adding to your already difficult schedule. And to be completely honest, could Arsenal really compete with the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona?

Football personalities like Gary Lineker are up in arms at Arsene Wenger's decision, but in the end, this could be the one decision that ultimately will benefit Arsenal in their push for a top four finish. If Arsenal could pull this off, which is extremely unlikely, they would be hailed throughout Europe, while Wenger would look like a king once again at the Emirates.

Arsenal going out on Wednesday night against Bayern will not come as a surprise to anyone, or at least it should not be a surprise, considering the German side were always favorites. But, giving some of the players who get less playing time a run out against one of Europe's elite, could give them enough confidence to help make a difference for the remainder of the season.

Is Wenger's choice to rest players a good decision from a manager that appears to be looking at this match from a realistic stand point?
