Michu could be one to look out as Swansea take on West Brom
It is a condensed 29th match weekend in the Premier League with only six games to be played thanks to the FA Cup quarter-finals and football fantasy managers will have some thinking to be done.

Five of the top six teams in the Premier League table will be missing from action this weekend which could mean that many of your players may be absent from your fantasy teams. What will therefore be important is how you use the available substitution and who you choose as your captain.

The six matches in this 29th match weekend has Norwich playing Southampton, bottom-placed QPR taking on Sunderland, Reading and Aston Villa going head to head in a relegation battle, West Brom and Swansea fighting for the eighth spot, Newcastle looking to break the Stoke defence and Liverpool taking on Tottenham in what will be the game of the week.

So here's the deal. QPR has moved to within five points of pulling themselves out of the relegation zone and with only 10 matches remaining they will know that it could be the case of now or never. Last week they won against Southampton and with Sunderland having had their own issues in the backline the Rangers might look at being a bit more proactive than usual.

The result? A higher-scoring game than usual, with Sunderland not wanting to drop points either given their highly untenable 14th spot in the Premier League table.

The trouble however for Sunderland is that Steven Fletcher isn't in the best of forms in recent times and their latest striking recruit Danny Graham hasn't got himself going either. Still given the opposition and that principle I so believe in - the law of averages - it may not be a bad idea to wait to check the starting line-ups and get in one of these two into the side.

A win for either Aston Villa or Reading could pull them out of the bottom heap but a defeat could push them down further. This is why not losing this game is as important for both teams as winning is and one cannot be sure about how this one will go. An early goal for either could open the game up and lead to a high scoring encounter which is why I would have either Christian Benteke or Adam le Fondre in my line-up. Darren Bent's fitness woes continue and he's almost ruled out of the next couple of games this season already.

The West Brom v Swansea game could be another tough, gritty encounter with my money on Swansea scoring through Michu. The Spanish midfielder has been in sublime touch all season but talking of only the Premier League he has scored in only one game since December 23 - the two goals against QPR early last month. So it could be a good idea to either bring him into your fantasy sides or even make him your captain for this weekend.

The Newcastle v Stoke encounter could be one that ends goalless or with a 1-0 scoreline for one of the teams and I anticipate that bringing in a defender from either team could be a good idea. With Robert Huth out banned for three games Marc Wilson might be a decent choice to make although there is always the Potters captain Ryan Shawcross who could be considered.

Which brings me to the match of the weekend, one between Liverpool and Tottenham. Tottenham have had an excellent campaign under Andre Villas Boas and are within touching distance of the second spot in the table, but will be mindful of what happened last season. An excellent start in 2011-12 was hampered by a poor finish and they will hope to eradicate that this season.

Liverpool's good recent form will be tested by a strong team - after 5-0 and 4-0 wins over a second-string Swansea side and Wigan Athletic they will be up against a side who has conceded more than one goal in a game only once in the last eight games. So while Daniel Sturridge will be fit to play and Luis Suarez is coming off a hat-trick in the last game, it could be a low-scoring encounter again.
