Real Madrid’s Spanish La Liga meeting with Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu was meant to take place on March 3 as shown in El Clasico 2013 promo video starring Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the date has now been changed to Saturday, March 2, 2013.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona will be the second fixture of Week 26 as Getafe and Zaragoza will open proceedings a day earlier. 

 

This information was confirmed by Mediapro president Jaume Roures via Rac1 on Monday, February 12. It is understood that these date changes have been made to accommodate Real Madrid’s preparation needs ahead of their March 5 encounter at Old Trafford against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid will host the Red Devils on February 13 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. Los Blancos will clash against Barca at the Camp Nou for the second leg of their Spanish Cup semi-final tie in two weeks’ time.
