Can Manchester City take over first place once again after a recent slip-up?
After finding themselves five points clear of Manchester United at one point, Manchester City now sit three points back, with the opportunity of taking over first place tonight.

As the two Manchester rivals take the field at the Etihad Stadium, Roberto Mancini knows that he must win if he wants to raise the title at the end of the season.

A victory for City will put them even on points but due to the goal difference and head to head being in City's favor, they would claim first place. Tonights match is one of the most anticipated matches in the Barclays Premier League for the last weeks. We should all be in for a fantastic match of football, and with the offensive fire power that both teams possess, some great goals also.

While a victory for City tonight could be a big step to claiming the EPL title, they still have to travel to Newcastle and then host QPR, while United will host Swansea and travel to Sunderland. Roberto Mancini knows what's at stake tonight and he will have or at least should have his players up for the challenge.

Ahead of Monday night's match, Mancini said, "Maybe Monday morning there will be pressure, but this is normal for us or for United. But not now, I don't think this.''

In the Manchester United dressing room, not only does Alex Ferguson have the experience to get his players ready for this match, but players such as Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have taken part in a number of crucial matches like tonight.

As we have seen time and time again, regardless of what type of players Ferguson has at his disposal, he somehow, someway manages to always have a competitive team. With the roster that Manchester City has, you would think that realistically Manchester United as well as most EPL teams should struggle against them, but Fergie always finds a way.

Wayne Rooney has been in great form as of late, with Welbeck following in his footsteps. Will the two England International's be able to put the title race to rest and be one step closer to yet another Alex Ferguson title at Manchester United?

I would expect a very boring first 10 minutes of this game as both teams will be very nervous to make a crucial mistake early on. A draw would be fine for United, while a draw for Mancini would make things very difficult with just two games remaining, so the three points should be the only thing on the Italian's mind.

I will go out on a limb and say that todays match will be a high intensity and high scoring match. I think that City will be able to grab a goal in the first 20 to 25 minutes which will end up opening up the match for both sides.
