The Copa Libertadores champions will clinch top spot of Group 1 with a victory over The Strongest at the Vila Belmiro on Thursday.

April 19, 2012: Juan Aurich vs Internacional

Internacional travel to Peru to take on Juan Aurich in a match which they must win to secure themselves of a place in the round of 16 stage of the Copa Libertadores. Inter, winners of the competition in 2006 and 2010, count with one of the most complete squads on the continent with Andres D'Alessandro, Leandro Damiao and Dagoberto amongst their troops, but they will need to be on top of their game to dispose of the already eliminated Peruvians.

Apr 19, 2012: Santos vs The Strongest

South American champions Santos will be hoping to avenge their 2-1 defeat to The Strongest in Bolivia, by obtaining three points that would assure them of first place of Group 1 at the Vila Belmiro stadium. The Brazilians have yet to lose a game at home this season, and will be looking to celebrate their centenary with a convincing victory. With Neymar, Ganso and Borges expected to start the game they have all of the necessary firepower to breeze past the Bolivians. However, they should be wary of the threat posed by The Strongest, because the visitors will be desperate to cause an upset that could take them to the next round.

Apr 19, 2012: Penarol vs Godoy Cruz

Both Penarol and Godoy Cruz have already been eliminated from the competition, and due to this both sides are likely to opt for second-strings squads for the River Plate derby. In the opening round of the group phase the Argentines edged out Penarol 1-0 and they will be hoping to pick up another victory on their visit to Montevideo. Penarol, finalists of the 2011 version of the competition, were surprisingly knocked out already two rounds ago, but will be looking to hand their passionate fans some joy, particularly because they will exhibit the world's biggest flag, which costed them $35,000 to make, for the game.

Apr 19, Univ. de Chile vs Atletico Nacional

Universidad de Chile and Atletico Nacional lock horns in what is arguably the most exciting match-up of the round, as first place of Group 8 is up for the taking. The Chileans will need a victory to win the group, however, Atletico Nacional will manage this with a share of the spoils at the Estadio Nacional de Santiago. An extra incentive for La 'U' to beat their rivals is to avenge the 2-0 defeat they suffered in Colombia. The Copa Sudamericana champions are more than capable of winning the game and will select their strongest possible squad for the clash.
