Milan surrendered league leadership to rivals Juventus with their devastating last-gasp 2-1 home defeat to Fiorentina on Saturday, and could possibly kiss goodbye to their chances of winning back-to-back Scudettos if they fail to rack up the three points on their visit to Chievo on Tuesday. The Rossoneri haven't won in their last four games in all competitions, and have entered some kind of a crisis, which perhaps was triggered by the fact that so many of their squad members have picked up injuries in recent months.
Roma have perhaps been the most inconsistent side in the Serie A this season, as one week they win and the next week they lose. On Saturday they were on the wrong end of a 4-2 thumping by lowly Lecce, which put a severe dent in their chances of competing in Europe next season. Roma are more than aware that it is essential that they rebound from their defeat with a victory over fourth-placed Udinese at the Stadio Olimpico, because another loss could not only put an end to their season objective, but it could also put Luis Enrique's job on the line.
Inter have picked up their game significantly since the arrival of interim coach Andrea Stramaccioni, and will be expected to continue their charge towards a possible spot in Europe next season when they welcome Siena to the San Siro stadium on Wednesday. Under Stramaccioni, Inter have found the back of the net seven times in two games, but whilst their attack has been remarkable with the presence of Diego Milito, Mauro Zarate and Diego Forlan playing in a slightly deeper role, their defense has left a lot to be desired, as Inter have conceded a total of six goals. The Nerazzurri will be hoping to rectify the situation in a game which they must win.

With their 2-0 victory at Palermo on Saturday, Juventus overtook Milan at the top of the Serie A standings and they will be hoping to consolidate their position when they entertain high-flying Lazio in what is expected to be the most intense match of the round. Lazio have been in equally impressive form as Juve in recent weeks, and practically confirmed their presence in next season's Champions League with their 3-1 win over Napoli. But the fact that Juventus have won four successive league games, where they scored a total of twelve goals and conceded zero, makes them the odds on favourites coming into the clash.
