The aging midfielder hopes Inter will benefit from the fact that Juventus are in desperate need of the three points to remain in the title hunt.
Dejan Stankovic, the Serbian midfielder of Inter Milan, admitted that his team have nothing to lose when they lock horns with Juventus on Sunday, but that their rivals, on the contrary, will be desperate for the three points because anything less than this could bring an end to their title aspirations.

"Juventus have much more to lose than Inter. They are fighting for the Scudetto and we know that brings immense extra pressure. They really can't afford to drop any points. There will be even more pressure on them if AC Milan win their league game on Saturday," Stankovic affirmed to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

But the Serb still believes that the game is reasonably important for an Inter outfit who are coached by Claudio Ranieri, because if they pick up the three points it would significantly improve their chances of finishing third on the Serie A table, which would assure them of a Champions League play-off spot.

"It hurts to see us like this on the league table. However, we have some important games coming up against Udinese and Lazio for third place. We are still feared opponents," he concluded.

The Nerazzurri have picked up their game in recent outings, but although they won't claim any silverware this season, with 41 points from 28 games they find themselves seven points behind Lazio, and remain with possibilities of qualifying for Europe's biggest club competition.

If Inter Milan manage to beat Juventus on Sunday, it would definitely pave the way for a strong finish to the season from Ranieri's men.
