Arsenal's goalkeeper is fired up to beat Liverpool especially because of his hatred for London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal currently occupy the fourth spot but they are 7 points behind third-placed Spurs. Speaking to reporters, Szczesny revealed his ambition:

“I deeply believed that this team could fight for the title and trophies. We have to finish the season fighting for other objectives.

“Currently we are in fourth place and that is the minimum for us because this club has to be in the Champions League every year.”

Last weekend, Arsenal robbed the headlines with their 5-2 victory over Spurs. They fought a good fight to cancel Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 lead at the Emirates Stadium. As the English Premier League campaign continues, Szczesny is hoping for that vital victory to carry Arsenal through. He added:

“After the Tottenham game we reduced the gap to them a little bit. It is obvious that it is my ambition to finish the season in front of them... because I hate them.”

Arsenal are scheduled to play against Liverpool in Saturday’s lunch time kick-off. Wojciech Szczesny was inspirational in midweek for Poland as his numerous saves prevented Portugal from scoring. The young keeper will need to be at his best at Anfield.
