GolTV signs with Kentaro and Torneos y Competencias to offer viewers wide coverage

It was announced on January 17 that GolTV and Kentaro have come to an agreement which will GolTV to broadcast Gillette Brazil World Tour games and top international soccer matches. Commenting on this feat, GolTV COO Rodrigo Lombello explained:

“As all eyes turn to Brazil and excitement builds for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, this agreement allows GolTV to showcase premier friendly and qualifier matches, connecting fans and reinforcing that GolTV is the exclusive destination for those who are just as obsessed with soccer as us.”

In addition to the partnership with Kentaro, GolTV has signed an agreement with Torneos y Competencias. Constantino Voulgaris, executive vice president of programming and business development at GolTV, declared the following:

“With more than two million people playing soccer and 400 professional soccer clubs, Argentina is a country as obsessed with soccer as GolTV. This agreement to air Argentina’s top weekly matches reinforces GolTV as the exclusive TV and online destination for real soccer fans, providing the most exciting soccer coverage from around the globe.”

“This agreement with GolTV provided a great opportunity for Torneos to expand the viewership of the tradition-rich and exciting soccer that the Argentine Football Association is known for to millions of passionate soccer fans throughout North America.”

GolTV has promised to offer their best in 2012. Among the channel’s huge coverage, here are some broadcast schedules:

January 21st – La Liga continues with weekly matches (Racing x Getafe at 12 p.m. EST / Real Sociedad x Atl. Madrid at 2 p.m. EST)

January 22nd at 12 p.m. EST - La Liga (Malaga x Barcelona)

January 22nd at 2 p.m. EST– Campeonato Paulista kicks off with weekly live matches Round 1 (Sao Paulo x Botafogo)

January 25th at 7 p.m. EST– Campeonato Paulista Round 2 (Palmeiras x Portuguesa)

January 31st – February 11th – FUTSAL European Indoor Championships

February 12th – Argentina’s “Clasico of the Week” debuts with weekly matches:

The “Clasico” (the week’s top match) from the Argentine Football Association airs every Sunday at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT until the 2013-2014 season(see release below).
