Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea to seal EPL midweek action on an exciting note
English Premier League followers got served with drama and entertainment on Wednesday night. Spurs and Chelsea are expected to end the midweek action with an exciting London derby.

Spurs vs Chelsea comes up tonight!
Matchday 17 kicked off on Tuesday with Wolves and Norwich City playing out an eventful 2-2 draw. With this point, Norwich managed to maintain their position ahead of West Bromwich Albion in ninth position. Wolves, however, did just enough to stay out of the relegation zone with 15 points.
Elsewhere, it was disaster for under-fire coach Steve Kean as Blackburn Rovers got hit with their 11th defeat of the season. This result kept Blackburn rock-bottomed, 2 points behind nineteenth-placed Bolton Wanderers.
Wednesday night’s stage was set for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool to compete. At Villa Park, the Gunners bounced back from their loss to the Citizens with a hard-fought victory.
Yossi Benayoun scored a late winner to down Aston Villa. Manchester United and Manchester City also recorded wins, but the Mancunian clubs had a more comfortable ride.
Aguero clinched a brace in City’s 3-0 triumph over Stoke City at the Etihad Stadium. At Craven Cottage, the Red Devils produced fireworks. Nani, Ryan Giggs and Welbeck were among the five different goal scorers on the night.
Liverpool, meanwhile, failed to grab all three points away to Wigan Athletic. Charlie Adam missed a penalty as the Merseyside Reds stumbled to a goalless draw. Liverpool remain in sixth position in the English Premier League table.
Tonight, Chelsea will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. The Blues refuse to give up on the title race whereas Spurs fancy their chances of overcoming Manchester City and Manchester United at the top of the standings.
Interestingly, Tottenham go into Thursday night’s fixture above Chelsea with a two-point advantage. Redknapp’s men have 34 points, 10 less than Mancini’s league leaders. However, the good news for Spurs fans is that they have played two games less than City and United. Chelsea, meanwhile, could go third with a win at White Hart Lane.
