Arsenal transfer news: Bendtner out, Alex in as Wenger works things out
This summer transfer window is a real pain in the neck for Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger although he has a few raisons to smile.

Wenger says there's no need to be in a "bad mood" during this transfer window.
Upfront, the permanent absence of Nicklas Bendtner has been confirmed. The Denmark striker, who joined the Gunners in 2005, all but announced his departure from the Emirates Stadium this week. He talked about his career in an interview with the press ahead of Denmark’s match against Scotland:
“It's up to Arsenal now to sort it out, I can't do any more. I'd like to play at a place where you are happy and play every week. That is the most important thing for any football player and, hopefully, that will happen soon.”
Stoke City and Benfica are reportedly interested in the services of Bendtner. Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon were previously said to have completed a deal for the striker.
Meanwhile, transfer rumors continue to link Samir Nasri to an Arsenal exit. Whereas the French midfielder is reportedly eyed by Manchester City, the transfer saga involving Cesc Fabregas and Barcelona is yet to end. But there’s good news for Arsenal fans, though, as the club has completed the signing of Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton.
“We are delighted that Alex has decided to join us,” Arsene Wenger declared according to Arsenal’s official website.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s name has been added to Arsenal’s squad list after Gervinho and Jenkinson joined the squad earlier this summer. Expect more signings to be made before the transfer window comes to an end as Wenger confirmed.
