Argentina are under a bit of pressure ahead of tonight’s warm-up game at home to Albania. The 2011 Copa America hosts have lost their last two friendly matches and time’s running out for boss Sergio Batista to multiply the confidence in the hearts of the Albicelestes’ supporters who aim to see the Copa America trophy remain in Argentina.

One remark, however, is that the team that suffered dreadful results against Nigeria and Poland during the first week of June was made of U-25 players based in Europe. That said, it is only on Monday night that Sergio Batista will be able to give a much clearer idea of how the Albicelestes will really perform during the 2011 Copa America competition.

This is because superstars such as Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez and Zanetti are expected to feature against Albania in Buenos Aires.

“I don't think second place in the Copa America is acceptable. Because of our history and because of the talent we have in the national team, I think we should be top,” Real Madrid midfielder Gago said according to ESPNsoccernet.com in the buildup to the friendly match against Albania.

“We must try to win, always. The idea is to try to get the ball by being aggressive. By rotating it constantly, we'll try to get the space to hurt with the great attacking players that we have.”

Argentina may want to win the South American championship at all cost on home soil. However, it will be important to win the confidence of their fans by displaying a convincing performance in their last friendly match—which is against Albania—ahead of the competition which kicks off on July 1.
