Guardiola currently has two fantastic midfielders in his team but the Barca manager insisted that Paul Scholes is the best midfielder of the generation.
Barcelona are getting prepared for a massive trip to London with a Champions League final clash against Manchester United set to hit Wembley soon. Guardiola's men overcame United in the 2009 final at Rome with Xavi and Iniesta dictating midfield during that occasion. Nevertheless, the Barca manager has applauded Paul Scholes by hailing him as the best midfielder of his generation.

"Out of everyone at Manchester United, I would pick out Scholes – he is the best midfielder of his generation. I would have loved to have played alongside him."

Many are already considering the Catalans as huge favourites for the clash but Guardiola predicts that there will be no favourites at Wembley considering how both teams have performed over the past one year.

"Manchester United are a fantastic rival, but they have an advantage because two years ago they lost to us – winning [games like that] can confuse you.

You can’t be favorites in a final against Manchester United anyway – they are a great team. I admire them. They sold Cristiano [Ronaldo] and they are still winning."
