Los Blancos are planning to honour their red-carded manager Jose Mourinho through the match of their lives—Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
The Portuguese manager was sent off to the stands for applauding the referee after Pepe’s controversial dismissal during the first leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League encounter against Barcelona. As a result, Jose Mourinho won’t be seen on the touchline at the Camp Nou.

It has been reported that UEFA have banned the Real Madrid coach from communicating with his players via cell phone. According to ESPN Soccernet, Mourinho also opted not to attend Monday’s pre-match press conference—leaving assistant coach Aitor Karanka to speak on behalf of the team.

“We are Real Madrid. We wear a crest and we represent an institution that has never failed to affront challenges in its 109-year old history,” Karanka told the media as Real Madrid’s official club website confirmed.

“The only thing that is important for us now is to reach Wembley for the [2011 UEFA Champions League] final.

“Our coach [Jose Mourinho] feels bad because he won’t be able to be with the team [on Tuesday]. It would be vital for us to be able to dedicate a victory to him.”

Jose Mourinho grabbed the headlines with his overjoyed celebration at the Camp Nou last season as Inter ousted Barcelona at the very same stage of the competition. What can his Real Madrid players offer him this time around?
